National Nutrition Month

350-tests-on-every-new-botanical

So, I ended February, National Heart Health Month with a wonderful visit from friends of mine from Minnesota, who come from a family that has been using Shaklee for over 40 years.  They were able to share much insight with family and friends about health issues that we face in general, as well as what sets Shaklee apart.  I know we are all busy and we often find it difficult to carve out time to really look at things in depth, so I have decided it might be useful for me to try to share some key information in short (this is a hard one for me, Mrs. Wordy), but maybe more frequent blog posts.  So to Start off, I want to call attention to the picture above as well as the picture I shared on my Heart Health post in February.  These pictures are from the 2016 Shaklee Calendar, but I chose them first because I think they show in a real concrete way, how serious Shaklee is about its products in the pursuit of “Creating Healthier Lives.” So, 74,901 tests done on raw materials and finished product for the Life Plan, ALONE, is impressive.  But then, realize that each botanical in Shaklee’s products is tested for 350 contaminants (ie. Pesticides, Heavy Metals, and other Toxic Chemicals).  This is why Shaklee has never had a recall of one of their products.  The Natural Health industry is unregulated, so you want to be sure you are buying your products from a company that is good at consistently regulating themselves.  Shaklee does more pesticide tests, above and beyond, what is required by the U.S. Pharmacopeia, actually more than 250 more.  So this means that Shaklee is better than pharmaceutical grade purity.   In addition, GMP products only need to test for 80 contaminants, so at testing for 350, Shaklee is far above and beyond both of these respected standards.  I hope this was relatively short and sweet and to the point.
