I wanted to take some time to share my experience with the new Shaklee 5 Day Protein Reset that I finished on Jan 25th. I really liked it. First of all because it was doable. At 5 days, it was long enough to have a begining, middle, and end, yet short enough that it was easier to think about taking on. Secondly, I had noticeable benefits. I improved my energy and got control of my cravings…benefits which have continued past the time of actively doing the reset. I’m addition, I overall lost 2 inches and 1.5 pounds which is encouraging and a real tribute to the maintenance of muscle and improved shape. Next I am really impressed by the digestive support that came with doing it too. In fact, it got my attention early on that I was having more than one bowel movement in a day. It was so different from my usual that it has motivated me to continue trying to drink more water and especially to drink one glass with Good Guy and Go every day. Evening is when I was usually doing it….so even if I get to the end of the day and haven’t had a Good Gut and Go with my water, I have made sure to have one every day since I finished the Reset and it’s been really helping with regularity and I think its been continuing to keep my stomach feeling good and helping to keep carb cravings away. Lastly, it is really nice to know that I now have a simple tool to take the guesswork out of how to simply and quickly, get back on track for healthier, protein-nourishing eating.

I’d also like to take a quick moment to focus on one of Shaklee’s new products that is in the 5 Day Protein Reset, but also available with 28 servings in a small canister. It is Shaklee’s new Fuel. It is Creatine+ power blend. It has benefits for cognition, energy and muscle. Recently I was learning about how muscle is one of the biggest ways to keep a healthy mind. And so this product intrigues me for that reason. Obviously protein is the number one essential when it comes to muscle (and Leucine is such an important amino acid in this regard, which is specifically incorporated into Life Shake in sufficient amounts to signal muscle retention). However, I am going to try adding the new Fuel to my morning Life Shake and see what I notice about my mental focus and energy. It doesn’t have any flavor, so on its own, it doesn’t do much for flavoring my water. So, unless I combine it with Good Gut and Go or the Electrolyte Hydration, the simplest way to get it will be to add it to my Life Shake. If you are interested in learning more about it, listen below.
This year I really want to focus on trying to help encourage people to take even baby steps toward healthier choices. Over time, it is the accumulation of better choices that will move your life into a better space, much in the same way that it is consistent poor choices that will move your life toward or into a state of illness. I really can relate to Shaklee’s mission to change sick care into well care. I’d much rather follow the road of prevention than ending up having to ‘fix’ or simply ‘manage’ things once they are to an extreme where your body is struggling. This will be my focus and to this end, I am going to start trying to encourage 10 rules toward optimal health. I am working on getting slides together for myself and will be having a zoom once a week. Beginning with February 13th, I’m going to start with Fridays at noon (I’m in Arizona, so it will be Mountain (in the Fall to the Spring) or Pacific Time (in the Spring to the Fall) depending on the time of year since Arizona doesn’t do daylight savings). Hopefully it will be a time that even a working person can take a break and not too late in the day for those in more eastern time zones. I’m hoping it will allow a regular time for someone to listen for the first time or someone who has already listened before to get a refresher when they need it. I tend to have a million ideas and then fall short putting them into action because I’m one person and have a lot of different areas of my life that demand my time. However, I want a healthier people for this world. I feel we are getting bombarded from so many directions, sometimes it feels overwhelming. So I just want to keep it simple, and get good at sharing one talk…getting better and better over time. And if I can inspire one life at a time to make some changes toward healthier and more nourishing living, then I can look back on my life and say that I did my part in trying to put to good use the passion that God has given me for healthy and nourishing choices. I’m leaving the Zoom link here, so there is one place you know you can find it when you need it.
