So for anyone who is new to Shaklee (never ordered as a Member), the best first order as a Member is the Ready Set Wellness Bundle. Why? Well, the short answer is that the Ready Set Wellness Bundle includes all the basic Shaklee Nutrition that was being used by the Shaklee participants in the Landmark Study. For those who do not know much about the Landmark Study, I will try to explain. There was a study done to compare long term use (20+ years) of a multivitamin as compared to long term absence of a multivitamin. UC Berkley did this study and published the results. Shaklee saw the results, which essentially did show better bio-markers in most categories for the 20+ year multivitamin users. However, there were a few categories that the non-users actually had better bio markers.
Shaklee had a base of people using their supplements for 20+ years. Shaklee wondered if their users could be tested, so they approached those who did the study at UC Berkley and asked if they would study their long term (20+ year) multi-supplement users. UC Berkley agreed, under 2 conditions…. #1 Shaklee had to pay for the costs associated with running the study and #2 The results would be published no matter what, even if the results did not show well for the Shaklee users.
Shaklee felt pretty sure that their research and “over the top” quality sourcing and testing had benefited the long term users of their products and ultimately went forward with the study. The results were definitely impressive. They developed the Vitalizer strips based on what people in the study had been taking. The other component that the Shaklee users regularly used was Shaklee’s protein. So, the Ready Set Wellness with the Vitalizer is the Basic Shaklee Package that got the great results discovered in the Landmark Study. Even more studies have been done since and Shaklee users have consistently come out better in all biomarkers tested.
Now, the other reason that I recommend the Ready Set Wellness Bundle for new Members is because it comes with a Free Item to new Members. There are some really nice ones to choose from. I suggest placing it on a Loyalty Order because the Loyalty Program really helps you benefit from more Shaklee goodness. All it takes to earn points is a $100 monthly loyalty order which would be $3.33/day. And what is so nice about the loyalty orders, is that you can literally change all the items in your cart every month if you want to. You do not have to order the same thing every month. A loyalty order just has to be at least a $100 order to qualify to earn loyalty points or to redeem loyalty points. Each month, I look at my loyalty order and delete or “save for later” whatever I don’t want that month and I add in whatever it is that I need that month. My orders are never identical. I just make sure to make all adjustments to my loyalty order no later than the day before my ship date.
One tip that I have found is that there is a Foundations Regimen that gives a discount on: the Vitalizer and one 14 serving pouch of Life Shake (28 scoops)….add an additional 14 serving pouch of Life Shake and you essentially have the Ready Set Wellness Bundle (minus the special “free product”). I thought they had discontinued the Foundations Regimen, but today when I saw that they still have it, I was really excited because maybe some months you will still have extra Life Shake and won’t need 2 pouches, plus it is actually a little cheaper to add in that extra Life Shake when you need it than it is to get the Vitalizing Plan (not sure why, just is).
Another tip to make the Foundations Regimen last longer, or to allow a husband and wife to get a Vitalizer Strip every other day (if ordering 2 Foundation Regimens isn’t in the budget), just order one Foundations Regimen and a bottle of Vita Lea for the “off days”. If a man and woman are going to share a Vitalizer, I’d suggest ordering the “Men’s” or “Gold” (by selecting “Customize”) because they don’t have iron and then if the woman is still menstrating, she can take the Vitalizer strip without iron every other day… along with Shaklee’s Iron + C supplement to get the daily Iron she needs.
Bottom Line
However, just like I said in my last post, New Year, New You, at the bare minimum take an appropriate daily Shaklee Vita Lea and a Shaklee Protein supplement…protein is the building block of cells. So after your Ready Set Wellness month, if you cannot afford the Foundations Regimen, If you order a 4 month supply of Vita Lea (Men or Women) and a 14 serving pouch of Life Shake, you can add in a $10 bottle of Basic H2 (and in other months keep adding different Get Clean non-toxic cleaners …that work, plus they are economical because they are concentrated and last a long time). Your body will love you for cutting out the poisons that make up most cleaners out there…poisons that slowly kill you and your health. The 3 months after that, as you use your 4 month bottle of Vita Lea, you can order a new 14 serving pouch of Life Shake and $50 in Shaklee personal and/or skin care items and/or a pre/probiotic and/or OmegaGuard (take some inspiration from the items and bundles that I have featured on our Storefront page)….Your health will love you for it. (Note: only Men & Women…are available in a 4 month bottle…Gold only comes in a 2 month bottle…. & Methylated, Gummy, Drink, and Liquid also come in smaller quantities.)
One, last loyalty order tip that I have is that even though a $100 loyalty order qualifies for loyalty points (allowing you to save up for free products of your choice), a further benefit is available to any $150 orders. An order of $150+ qualifies a member to receive Free Shipping (Please note: if you are an Ambassador, Loyalty Order requirements and benefits are slightly different, for instance, you receive $ for $ Shipping Loyalty Points in lieu of the up front Free Shipping @ $150 and there is an additional requirement to order before the 15th of the month to earn loyalty points)

Before I end, I ask you to take a good look at the yellow boxes in the Landmark Study results shown above. They are the categories that the “No Supplement” users were better off than the “any brand” Multivitamin users…..so personally, I’d rather take Shaklee brand if Shaklee makes it…or not take anything. Think about it. Lead and other toxins are unfortunately routinely found in supplements (and foods which is difficult to do much about except to help the body remove them). I just don’t see why I’d want to pay for lead to come along with my multi-vitamin or protein supplement and I believe it is the lack of quality assurance in other brands that is the cause of the “No Supplement” population getting better results in those yellow categories shown above.
